Spring 2009 Limerick Competition
Last spring we posted the following first line of a limerick and challenged you to complete it.
A program for saving the Earth...
The winner was Terence Hyde with entry:
A program for saving the earth
Was tasked to control human birth,
But its code was revised
When it strongly advised
The castration of all men in Perth.
Two others were specially commended by the judges:
A program for saving the Earth
Is simple - stop all human birth.
The problem, you see,
Is that both you and me
Consume so much more than we're worth.
A program for saving the Earth...
Was judged with three others in Perth
But glitches, you see
Disqualified three
So instead of Forth it came Firth
A program for saving the earth . .
Meant smashing TV's at their birth . .
We rebuilt our minds . .
Saved humankind . .
and gave back conversing it's worth.
