Hack attack
Another activity called hacking where someone attempts an unauthorised login onto a site, often using software to try and guess the passwords, can cause a great deal of damage. A poor password opens the door when hackers use programs that run through all the words in the dictionary looking for obvious passwords. To try and do this manually would really hurt the fingers. Often these attempts are made by young people as a pastime even though it's illegal, but there are professional hackers too who attempt to steal data or disable computer systems. They often target financial institutions in an attempt to steal money digitally. These bank robberies can be carried out from the other side of the world. Gone are the days when a fast getaway car was needed, criminals can simply use broadband.
