Phonie Phones
Mobile phones are a must have these days, but there are now viruses that travel from phone to phone. In the past phones using Bluetooth, a wireless radio link allowing hands free headsets and downloading of information from computers, had a security problem that meant that criminals could Bluejack you, that is steal your phone book from your mobile just by walking past. Recently celebrity Paris Hilton had her online phone book hacked into, which contained the personal phone numbers of Christina Aguilera, Anna Kournikova, Fred Durst, Eminem, Usher, Avril Lavigne and Vin Diesel. Their details were posted on the web and numerous crank calls were received. Like all computer systems modern digital phones are complex pieces of information technology, and it's a constant battle for Computer Scientists to upgrade the software when security problems are found and exploited.
