Usability Evaluation Methods
You are a Usability Consultant. You don't just find problems by accident. You use methods. The methods help you focus on problems that will make designs hard to use. What methods might you use? Here are a couple of simple ways to get started:
Getting Started
The simplest thing, not really a method at all, is just to explore. You can get ideas of the kinds of problems that are likely using "critical incident" interviews
You can do better than just aimlessly explore an existing design. Be focus: analyse.
Using your head, using your expertise only takes you so far. It
is always a good idea to get some real users to try a prototype out, and well
see what they do.
